  "I was just 25 years old when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. They removed the breast and did reconstructive surgery. At the time I rejected any further treatment because I wanted to get on with my life! Fifteen years later, this past November, I hurt my back and was instructed to go to the doctor for workman's compensation issues. I went and he took x-rays of my back. When he came back into the examining room, he said he was very concerned and that the cancer seemed to have come back and that I needed to talk to the radiologist the next day. He put me on partial restriction for my work duties and gave me prescriptions for pain. February came around and my mother invited my sister, my niece and me to the Living Beyond Disease conference at Mo Ranch. Well, the atmosphere was electric! The forceful way that Michele delivered the message and the sheer number of people attending that were hearing and knowing the truth had a powerful impact on me. I knew during that weekend that I was completely free. I had such a clear understanding of how the appearance of recurrent cancer was simply a projection of fear and that I had moved past that during the Retreat weekend! Several weeks after I got home, work called and said I had to go back to the doctor for a full release from the back injury. The doctor's building was there, but it seemed to be almost glowing it was so surrounded with light (yes, really). I went in and everything seemed to be glowing with this light: the people working behind the desk, the other patients waiting, the equipment- everything. The doctor came in and asked me if I had any more problems with my back. I told him no. He went out to the x-ray viewer in the hall, looked at those very same pictures and returned saying, "Looks great, why don't we give you a full release for work?"
